Design
As much as necessary, as little as possible: With a design consistently minimized to the bare essentials, the new indoor stations blend into any individual interior.
Prize-winning design: The audio indoor station from the Siedle Basic design line received no fewer than two internationally acclaimed awards. The Design Council awarded the product its premium prize, the German Design Award 2016. Another prestigious award with worldwide acclaim was conferred by the iF International Forum Design: the iF Product Design Award 2016. The video variant of our Basic version has also been selected as an award candidate: It has been nominated by the International Design Center Berlin for the UX Design Award 2016. All awards are bestowed in recognition of the design quality of internationally pioneering products. A high-calibre panel of judges comprising experts from the field of design is in charge of conferring both of these highly sought-after awards.
The Siedle Basic design is all about clarity and precision – right down to the details. While their presence is deliberately unobtrusive, the devices are striking in their own right. Like all Siedle products, their design is minimal, derived from basic geometric shapes and committed to ergonomic principles.
The styling of the indoor station echoes the characteristic features of the Siedle design: The large speech button and limitation to just two operating elements simplifies intuitive operation; the clearly differentiated door release button, the spacing between the buttons and the self-explanatory symbols help prevent operating errors and so enhance security.

A love of detail is what distinguishes good product design: Graduated hole depths create subtle soft transition, spreading an "aura" around the loudspeaker opening.

The finely elaborated design is underpinned by the use of premium quality plastic and the colour shade – RAL 9003, signal white. The very fine structure of the surface lends a slightly matt appearance without the effect of roughness. This avoids the cheap looking gloss appearance of many plastic products.
Inclined side surfaces suggest lightness and make the unit appear to hover in front of the wall. The bright white tone picks out the clarity of the contours to maximum effect.

The minimized styling and the fine detail of the design emanate the assurance of value and quality. And the superb interaction between design, construction and high-grade components also results in an acoustic quality which is second to none.
