Loss of connection in WLAN
Addition to the functional description
27/07/2012
Description:
The Siedle App has been started and is active in the background. It still temporarily fails to receive and signal incoming calls in the wifi. In the most unfavourable case, it can take several minutes until the App returns to its correct function.

Background:
The iPhone or iPad moves out of reach of the signal and so loses the connection to the wifi. Although the connection is automatically re-established, in the most unfavourable scenario it can take several minutes until the App is once again able to receive and signal door calls. This behaviour is caused by the terminals and their operating system: For Apps which users actively access, the connection to the wifi is automatically established again if required. For Apps which run in the background without user activity, logging back in can take several minutes. During this period, the App cannot be accessed.

Recommendation:
The App should not be used as the sole indoor station, but should be supplemented by an additional call station. This can be a Siedle station or a landline phone connected via the TC interface. We recommend that each integral residential unit is fitted with an additional call station which works independently of the wifi.
Version: from V. 1.0

Planned change:
As the reason for the problem lies not in the App itself but in the terminals, it is difficult for us to have any influence over repair of the problem.

Remedy:
If the server is connected to a TC system, if the App is unattainable, the call function is automatically activated: The iPhone is called from the telephone network.
The call function is not available for the iPad.
